Braes Design collaborated with Waging Peace to create an 84-page, full-colour book telling the story of child survivors of genocide in Sudan. The book was typeset in both english and arabic, and featured stunning images from the UN photographer Albert González Farran. The cover was hard-bound in flame-red fabric and die-stamped.
Logo design for a financial planning company. The W icon was designed to show an overlapping of two blues to symbolise the relationship between advisor and customer. The diamond shapes subtley evoke wealth.

Colourful and joyous banners designed to celebrate the creation of a long Sudanese "toub" scarf. The toub was created by women of the Sudanese diaspora in the UK as part of the "Peace by Piece" project and marched through London as part of the International Women's Day in March, 2024
Waging Peace commissioned this logo to mark 20 years since the 1994 genocide in Darfur and draw attention to the ongoing conflict in Sudan. "Freedom, peace and justice" was the slogan of the protestors during the 2018-2019 Sudanese revolution. The jagged red stripes are evocative of wounds and drawn in the iconic shape of a Sudanese conical straw house, a "guttiyya", to symbolise destruction of Sudanese homes.
Vibrant 2025 impact report created for a British and American charity working across several countries in Africa to support conflict survivors in rebuilding their lives and communities. The report included custom maps and the stunning photography of Simone Fior.
A logo design for a regional agricultural festival where livestock was shown, sold and competed. The branding incorporates the different animals featured at the show in a wintry colourway. This logo was part of a set of sub-brands designed for this client, the East of England Showground, and shared a common visual layout and strapline treatment.
Logo design created for a dog training business that was produced in multiple colour variations and used across the web, on stationery, and also printed in the main colourway and in glitter on team sweatshirts.
Waging Peace asked us to create this 24-page in-depth report to be given to MPs and organisers to communicate the complex history and political situation within war-torn Sudan. Striking photography from Jérôme Tubiana and Albert González Farran was included along with over 80 reference footnotes and links.

An original logo created for a rural estate in Somerset with a budding farmshop business. The estate manor house was extremely old with a fascinating history and the client wanted a logo based on a stone crest from the building. The crest was used as the basis for the modern branding used on the farm products.
An interesting retro invitation for a promotional event in london mimicking an antique baggage tag and airline ticket. The invitation was printed to look aged and then die-cut out to give it the vintage ticket shape.
Invitation to the prestigious annual IET Annual Dinner that was part of a suite of materials (menus, seating plans, etc.) designed for this event. The invitation was enclosed in a pocket that had the IET brand hexagon die-cut out so that when the invitation was pulled out, the face of the guest speaker, Dr. Brian Cox, was revealed.
A colour-coded map that was used in a fold-out welcome brochure and wayfinding posters for the headquarters of an international agricultural company. Different departments and sub-brands were themed in their brand colours.
